The Oyster Ball is Back!

The Oyster Ball celebrating the Falmouth Oyster Festival is back this year and is sure to be bigger and better than ever. The festival main sponsors, St Michael’s Hotel & Spa, will be hosting the ball on Saturday 17th October in the Regatta Suite.

The black tie event will be a night to remember with a Kir Royal and oyster reception, followed by a delicious 4 course dinner. Award winning singing sensation Ley Adewole and her band, plus top DJ Kris Kool will be providing the evenings entertainment; Ley has previously worked with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Take That, and Tom Jones, so will be a great asset to the evening. Tickets are £45 per head; full tables of 10 preferred, call 01326 312707 to book your table.

Hotel Proprietor Nigel Carpenter said: “We are thrilled to be hosting this year’s Oyster Ball and the hotel team are in the midst of planning a memorable night. The ball has been a popular Falmouth event for a number of years and we hope to continue its success this year.”

As well as the Oyster Ball, St Michael’s will be laying on an Oyster Festival Gourmet night on Thursday 15th October featuring a fabulous seafood orientated gourmet menu with wines selected to match every course. The Flying Fish Restaurant Manager Rebecca Jackson will be hosting the evening along with Brown Brothers wine expert Emma Burstall. The evening is sure to be an exciting tasting experience; tickets inclusive of all wines are £59 per head.

On the final day of the festival the ever popular ‘Sunday Lunch at The Flying Fish’ will be even more enticing with the mellow sounds of the regions top Jazz Band’s, Jumping Out. Book your Sunday Jazz Lunch soon to avoid disappointment.
